Fall in Love

Maybe, just maybe, right now isn’t your time to find that great love of your life. You aren’t unworthy or any less special. There is nothing “wrong” with you. You don’t need to put your sole focus on finding the one. Maybe, just maybe, it’s your time to fall more in love with other relationships that are just as worthy, one of them being you.

I hope you fall in love with the feeling of waking up in the morning surrounded by gratitude for a roof over your head and the satisfaction that you get at least one more day.

I hope you fall in love with your ability to make genuine connections with others and are aware of the core, supportive people you have in your life. As you get older you are well in touch with the saying “quality over quantity”… you don’t need 10,000 followers on Tik Tok or obsess over how many likes you got on the picture you last posted. Give love to those who have been there and let them know it.

I hope you fall in love with your laugh. That giggle is a powerful thing, it’s contagious to everyone around you. It can be a temporary escape from a rough day, let it happen and don’t feel guilty. Your laugh could be someone’s favorite sound and not even know it.

I hope you fall in love with your dreams. You are the creator, boss, manager, only person that is capable of making them happen of those dreams. Fall so much in love with your dreams that you believe that these dreams can be your reality rather than just a fantasy.

I hope you fall in love with the feeling of making someone smile by being your complete and unapologetic self. We are all designed differently for a reason. Our imprints that we leave on each other last a lifetime. Your “see ya later alligator” that you say before you leave a room will be a lasting memory and even a new habit for your friend or co-worker even after y’all part ways.

I hope you fall so deeply in love with your existence here on Earth. Golly, this is a hard one isn’t it? What is my purpose here? You don’t need a definitive answer to that one. You don’t need to receive a Noble Prize to feel purposeful. Sometimes finding meaning for life in just simply being a kind, loving human is all we need. You were put on this Earth for a reason. Each and every one of us for different reasons. We all can learn from each other. We all can choose to have each other in each other’s lives. We all can choose to step away from each other. Whatever you choose is up to you.

I hope you fall in love with the way your dad’s eyes gloss over because of the prideful tears that appear after your name gets announced over the speakers of your graduation. I hope you fall in love with the way your mom talks about you to her friends, how she worries about you but knows you will be okay. I hope you fall in love with the (sometimes) repetitive conversations you have with your grandparents that feel over the moon when you give them a call.

I hope for so many things for you. I hope you know that the way you make others feel and how you love them is the real meaning when we get to the end of our lives. It doesn’t matter what you wear, what you drive or how big of a house you live in. I hope you know that you are worthy of the greatest love there is in life, that love being yourself.

Fall in love with yourself so that others are lucky enough to experience that love too <3
